A native Californian, Kellie came out to the Midwest for college then stayed for a job where she met her husband, Roy. “Now I’m stuck here, happily though.” Roy and Kellie have been married for 16 years and they have two kids, Emma (8) who has red hair with a personality to match and Noah (7) a budding artist. Her hobbies include rollerblading, college football, and complaining about the weather. Kellie left a nine year stint as a mechanical engineer to start a family. When her daughter was born in 2001 she thought she’d give scrapbooking a try. It was a disaster. She had bought an early digital camera in order to e-mail pictures of Emma to her family on the west coast. It came with Photoshop Elements which she eagerly loaded onto her computer. A few hours later she was cursing at her computer, something she had never done before, and wondering what kind of yahoos wrote the software. She eventually found Scrapbook-Bytes while searching for Elements tutorials and fell in love with the digital scrapbooking. She has been designing since 2005 and in addition to The Digichick Kellie has worked with MemoryMixer, Inque Boutique, and Smilebox. Templates are her favorite product to design and she's now made over 150 of them.
